My Holy-Grail Products: The Best Skincare for Dry Sensitive Skin

If you have dry, sensitive skin that flares up, you know being told to “just hydrate” isn’t enough. You need the best skincare for dry sensitive skin. Products that actually work without causing breakouts, burning, or making things worse the next day. Oh, the burning.

After trying way too many products and wasting serious coint, I’ve finally found a few go-to’s that I like to keep in rotation. These aren’t like on-trend but they’re super moisturizing products that get it done.

So bestie? Here are my current absolute holy-grail products for my extra dry skin:

1. Youth to the People Superfood Cleanser (AM)

This green juice for your face is my go-to morning cleanser. It’s gentle but effective, never leaves my skin feeling tight, and wakes me up with a fresh, herbal scent. I use it in the mornings to get off any overnight product build-up without stripping my skin.

Why I love it: It’s pH-balanced, packed with antioxidants, and hydrates well. A win.

2. Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream

This is my daily cool weather moisturizer—reliable, hydrating, and never too heavy. It layers well under sunscreen or makeup and keeps my skin calm even when the weather is drying me out. My absolute favorite in the winter but if you’re an extra dry girly you could benefit from using this all year round.

Why I love it: The texture is perfect for everyday use. It’s rich, and creamy so a little goes a long way!

3. La Roche-Posay Lipikar Balm AP+M Triple Repair Moisturizing Lotion

This is hands-down the best body lotion I’ve ever used. If you have dry, itchy skin, this is it. No contest. No derm or expensive product has topped what this does for my skin. It stays moisturized for hours!

Why I love it:  The good just compounds too, as time went by I noticed my skin was less dry in general, even on days when I wouldn’t apply.

4. Youth to the People Superfruit Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser with Vitamin C + Papaya (PM)

I exfoliate at night and this one gets it done without leaving my face raw or dry and flaking. The lactic  and phytic acid helps smooth texture, fade dullness, and keep the glow consistent. I only use it 3x a week depending on how my skin’s feeling.

Why I love it: It’s effective. Period. No burning, no redness, just baby soft skin in the morning.

5. Supergoop! Unseen Sunscreen SPF 40

No skincare routine is complete without sun protection, and this is my go-to sunscreen. I love that it can double as a primer under makeup, but it works well on my bare skin too.

Why I love it: It’s broad-spectrum, oil-free, and feels so light you almost forget you’re wearing it. Plus, it doesn’t clog pores or irritate my skin. Also, it’s HSA/FSA eligible, make use of that tax-free money girl!
